Set in the heart of the Staffordshire countryside, Bishton Hall is a magnificent Georgian country house whose story spans more than 250 years. Surrounded by picturesque parkland, the Grade II* listed hall has evolved from an elegant family home into a school, and today, a thriving destination celebrating heritage, creativity, and community.

The present hall was built in the 18th century for the Sparrow family, who made Bishton Hall the centre of their estate. Over the following decades, the family expanded and enhanced the property, with Charlotte Sparrow playing a significant role in its development. A well-known philanthropist, she was passionate about education and established schools for local children, leaving a lasting legacy within the surrounding community.

Following the Second World War, Bishton Hall entered a new chapter when it became St. Bede's Preparatory School in 1946. For more than seventy years, generations of pupils studied, played, and grew up within its historic walls. The grand reception rooms became classrooms, the gardens echoed with children's laughter, and the estate developed a reputation as a much-loved independent school. St. Bede's remained at Bishton Hall until its closure in 2018, marking the end of an important era in the building's history.

Bishton Hall is now owned by Charles Hanson, the British auctioneer and television antiques expert best known for appearing on programmes such as Bargain Hunt, Flog It! and Antiques Road Trip.
